Hydrodynamics and Modelling of Complex Groundwater Systems

Assessing spatial and temporal recharge distributions using regularised parameter estimation of a groundwater flow model: A case study of Uley South Basin (South Australia)

This project focuses on enhancing spatial and temporal recharge estimates by using state-of-the-art groundwater model calibration techniques. Specifically, we aim to address the question: “to what extent can we enhance our understanding of recharge through the calibration of a groundwater flow model?” More Information

Parameter and predictive outcomes of model simplification and calibration

This work presents a systematic analysis of the outcomes of model simplification and calibration. The effect of simplified model calibration upon model predictive performance is shown to be highly prediction-specific. The same simplification and calibration approach may improve predictive performance for some predictions whilst actually degrading that for others. More Information
